Aquatrol 140 Series Atmospheric Discharge Safety Valve
AirGas
The Aquatrol Series 140, 141 and 143 are compact, economical safety relief valves designed for medium-capacity applications where a smaller-footprint valve is needed. The three variants share the same external design and performance characteristics but differ in material construction: Series 140 uses a B16 brass body, Series 141 uses a 316 stainless steel body with brass internals, and Series 143 is fully constructed from 316 stainless steel for aggressive or corrosive service.
All three series are rated to a maximum 450 PSI (approximately 31 bar) set pressure and are available in two orifice sizes to cover a range of capacities. Standard construction includes a stainless steel spring, stainless steel ball-type disc for reliable shutoff, and fixed (non-adjustable) blow-down. Each valve is factory-preset to the customer's specified pressure and seal-wired to prevent tampering.
Available as ASME Section VIII code-stamped for air and gas service, or as non-code versions for air, gas, or steam service. Oxygen cleaning is available as an option for oxygen service. Standard inlet connection is male NPT, with BSPT and female-threaded options on request.
